On behalf of this weeks facilitator, Alexie Glass, I'd like to thank our
enthusiastic guest artists who are surely exhausted from their week of
performance, openings installations and endurance box inhabitation and net
connectivity.

Their approach shares similarities while seemingly emanating form
different perspectives: subliminal writes in a back channel email "our txt
is sometimes an inversion of codified states. invoking the other, the
elsewhere, the multiples that co-exist in all states, in all places." At
the same time nat&ali 's strategy is to insert themselves physically into
social pages and street parades.

Situation is never clear cut for the artist, as today's communications
networks invoke multiplicity, historically and politically entangled,
flirting with museum contexts, simultaneously there and not there. As
Chris Caines and Zina Kaye suggest the issues raised are for the curator and
the museum to resolve formal issues to bring experiental distributed art
to a general audience.

And perhaps there is no answer to Adam Nash's opening question " so what is
the point of the audience being physically present at all? It is an
inconvenient but interesting irony!"

Melinda Rackham
